Common problems and how to fix them.

Black screen or the game won't load

The game runs entirely in your web browser and is served from the Internet Computer. If you see a black screen or it does not load, try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac), close other tabs, and make sure you are using a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. If it still will not load, try a different browser or a private/incognito window.

Controls don't respond

Make sure the game window has focus before you press the keys. Click once on the game area, then try again. Move with A and D or the arrow keys, jump with Spacebar or W, throw axes with J or Enter, sprint with Shift, and dash with K. On phones and tablets the game shows on-screen touch controls.

No sound

Check that your device volume is turned up and not muted, and that the browser tab is not muted (right-click the tab and choose "Unmute site"). Make sure the game window has focus, then click once on the game area. If sound still does not play, try a different browser or restart your browser.

Slow frame rate

If the game feels slow or stutters, close other tabs and background apps, and make sure your browser is up to date. Lowering your screen resolution or using a wired connection can help. If it is still slow, try a different browser or a private/incognito window.

I can't sign in

Signing in is optional — you can play the game without signing in at all. If you do sign in and it fails, try again in a private/incognito window, or use a different device. Sign-in uses Internet Identity, which lets you prove who you are with a device fingerprint or a face scan instead of a password or a seed phrase.

Do I need a wallet or a purchase to play?

No. There is no download and no wallet. The game is completely free to play, with no purchase and no transaction fee. You do not need a crypto wallet and you do not need to sign in.

Is my score saved on a blockchain?

The leaderboard and ecosystem figures currently shown on the site are demonstration data and are labelled DEMO. A live on-chain leaderboard carrying real player scores has not shipped yet, and there is no NFT minting. Scores shown on this site today are demonstration data. They are not recorded on a blockchain, and playing does not award tokens or NFTs.
